Rottnest Island sharks feeding on whale carcass, swimmers warned

The whale is drifting north-east of Thomson Bay ferry jetty and sharks have been sighted just 100 metres from the shore, forcing Rottnest Island Authority to close beaches within a one kilometre radius of the whale.

These include Thomson Bay, Pinky Beach, The Basin and Longreach Bay.
