Morrison: ‘I have no sympathy’ for protesters who threatened Victorian politicans

Prime Minister Scott Morrison says the “frustration” Australians are feeling over the COVID-19 pandemic is not “only limited to a small group” of malcontented people.

It comes after Victorian protesters made threats to Premier Daniel Andrews and his family and put gallows in front of the state parliament. 

Mr Morrison said the protesters had “engaged in violence and threats and intimidation” and had worked “against the vaccination program”. 

“I have no sympathy for that agenda but for the broader view of Australians who have got vaccinated and want to come together and get their lives back … that’s the cause I have sympathy with,” he said.
