Victoria records COVID case increase as state wakes to nearly no COVID rules

Victoria has recorded another COVID-19 jump of more than 200 more cases as residents wake up to barely any restrictions.

On Friday, the health department confirmed there had been 1273 new cases in the 24 hours until midnight.

There were also eight more COVID-19 related deaths.
