Second worker killed at central Queensland mine in less than two years

A worker died at a central Queensland mine overnight, shutting down operations at the site.

The tragedy occurred at Curragh coal mine, 170 kilometres west of Rockhampton, and is the second death at the site in less than two years after a 33-year-old man was killed in January 2020.
