Top teachers alarmed by drop in secondary students’ maths skills

The OECD’s most recent Programme for International Student Assessment – which tests and ranks 15-year-olds’ reading, maths and science skills – found that by 2018 the average Australian student had fallen one year behind in maths compared with the average Australian student in 2003.
