Peter Dutton hits back at ‘propaganda’ from Beijing

Defence Minister Peter Dutton has hit back at scathing comments directed at him by China’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson.

Zhao Lijian lashed the Defence Minister on Monday, saying he is “driven by selfish political games”.

“He has repeatedly made provocations, sensational and astonishing statements on China-related issues,” Mr Zhao said among other criticisms.

Speaking to Sky News Australia, Mr Dutton labelled Mr Zhao’s comments as “propaganda” from the Chinese Communist Party.
