Conservative voters ‘important’ to the Coalition

Former Victorian Liberal Party President Michael Kroger says conservatives “voted heavily” for the Coalition government at the last election in 2019, indicating how “important” they were at the time. 

It comes as Mr Morrison introduced the Religious Discrimination Bill in parliament today, which has divided MPs. 

“Those of faith voted heavily for the Coalition at the last election, 2019, if you read some of the stuff produced by former Labor Senator John Black in the days after the election, you get a full understanding of how important those conservative voters were to the Coalition,” Mr Kroger told Sky News Australia.
