Scott Morrison seeking special power to pre-select Liberal Party candidates

Prime Minister Scott Morrison will seek to override the pre-selection process in New South Wales by requesting special powers to choose his own candidates ahead of the upcoming federal election. The Australian newspaper reports Mr Morrison informed the Liberal Party's federal executive on Thursday. However, former Howard Cabinet Minister Nick Minchin has expressed reservations over the Prime Minister's plans.
