Mechanic dies after he was ‘trapped in machinery’ while fixing rubbish truck

A mechanic has died after he became trapped while repairing a garbage truck near a motorway on the Gold Coast.

Emergency services were called to Macpherson Road in Yatala just before 10.30am on Tuesday.

The Queensland Ambulance Service said the man was reportedly “trapped in machinery”.
