Greg Hunt is ‘one of the brighter people that has ever been elected’

Sky News host Gary Hardgrave says Health Minister Greg Hunt is one of the “brighter people” who has ever been elected to Parliament.

Mr Hunt is expected on Thursday to announce he will not recontest his Victorian seat of Flinders.

“He has got a strong brain, strong intellect, I believe an enormous moral fibre that runs through him as well,” Mr Hardgrave told Sky News host Cory Bernardi.

“So, there’s no doubt that he is a bloke that will be missed but the real challenge now will be for the Victorian Liberals to find somebody.

“Big shoes to fill, I wish whoever follows the best chance, but the point is they have to be somebody that has the capacity to be a senior leader.”
