Liberal Senator Eric Abetz says the Coalition's "evolution" when it comes to climate is a much better approach than Labor's "revolution".

"Because it's sustainable not only environmentally, but also economically," he told Sky News Australia.

It comes as Labor has committed to cutting emissions by 43 per cent by 2030 if it wins government at the next election.
