Labor commits to reducing carbon emissions by 43 per cent by 2030

Labor will commit to reducing carbon emissions by 43 per cent by 2030 if it wins the next federal election. 

The long-awaited target exceeds the Coalition’s forecast of a 35 per cent reduction, as well as its official target for a 26-28 per cent cut on 2005 emissions levels by 2030.
