Prime Minister Scott Morrison is spending the day at Mount Panorama for the Bathurst 1000 Supercars event.
Mr Morrison inspected the V8s ahead of the big race and was joined by New South Wales Premier Dominic Perrottet.
He told Fox Sports News it was great to see fans back at the event.
