Labor has not ‘outlined’ how it will achieve net zero by 2050: Wilson

Liberal MP Tim Wilson says while the Morrison government has developed a comprehensive carbon emissions plan and the measures it will take, Labor has "done none of that". 

Mr Wilson said people want action on climate change which is why the Morrison government committed to carbon neutrality by 2050.

"But it didn't just make the statement, it also backed it up with a clear, comprehensive, economy-wide plan and the measures to make sure it happens, and the modelling to show that it was viable and how we were going to do it," he told Sky News Australia. 

"Labor's done none of that, they've come up with a target for 2030 and of course it's heavily backed on the Coalition's approach, but they haven't actually outlined how they're going to get to their net zero position by 2050."
