Dominic Perrottet is the ‘breath of fresh air’ Australia needs

Sky News host Chris Smith says Premier Dominic Perrottet is providing Australia with the “leadership it was missing”.

The NSW Premier used his address at the National Press Club on Wednesday to call for a reinvigoration of the federation – including dumping COAG and taking portfolios such as education and childcare away from Canberra.

“We need to think outside the square, we need to be bold in searching for answers, and while a brash approach may lead to mistakes … it can also create luck,” Mr Smith said.

“We're at such a turning point in this country; we need the likes of Dominic Perrottet to guide the country into the next positive phase.”
