Marrickville pub fire: Man charged over ‘suspicious’ blaze that claimed life of beloved cat

A man has been charged over a fire that tore through a hotel in Marrickville on Monday night, causing extensive damage and the death of a beloved local cat.

Emergency services were called to the Royal Exchange Hotel in Marrickville just after midnight on Tuesday.
