WA premier expected to announce date for reopening

Western Australian Premier Mark McGowan is expected to announce the date the state will reopen to interstate and international travellers tomorrow. 

Mr McGowan has previously said he would set a date to reopen Western Australia after two years of border closures once the state reached its 80 per cent double dose milestone. 

As of Sunday, 79.8 per cent of the WA population over the age of 12 is fully vaccinated. 

Visitors to the state are expected to be fully vaccinated and return a negative COVID test and some local COVID restrictions are expected to be reintroduced when WA reopens.
