NSW COVID update sees 1360 cases recorded as restrictions end for unvaccinated people

NSW has recorded 1360 new coronavirus cases – the largest increase the state has seen in months.

At least 85 cases in the state have been identified as the highly infectious Omicron variant, with the new strain linked to a large outbreak in Newcastle.
