Industrial detergent revealed as substance turning creek blue in Brisbane’s Eagle Farm

A substance that turned a Brisbane creek blue has been identified as industrial detergent.

Queensland’s environment department has now set about trying to determine how the liquid was able to contaminate the Eagle Farm waterway.

A member of the public first reported the discovery on November 27.
