NSW sets new national record for daily cases as COVID outbreak continues to surge

NSW has recorded another increase in new coronavirus cases after 2,482 cases were confirmed on Saturday.

One more death was also recorded by NSW Health.

The result comes after more than 137,149 people came forward for tests.

There are currently 206 people being treated for the virus in hospital.
