Caroline Kennedy will ‘continue a very fine Kennedy tradition’ as ambassador to Australia

The Daily Beast’s Lachlan Cartwright says Caroline Kennedy will “continue on a very fine Kennedy tradition” as the United States’ ambassador to Australia.  

It comes after Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of President John F. Kennedy, was nominated as the next US ambassador to Australia by President Joe Biden.  

“So, a bit of royalty coming to Canberra, the Camelot coming to represent the US in Australia and continue that special relationship,” Mr Cartwright told Sky News Australia.  

“She is someone that people speak very highly of.  

“She was formerly in a diplomatic post in Japan as the US ambassador there and I’m sure she is going to continue on a very fine Kennedy tradition here in Australia.”
