Queensland changes close contact rules

The Queensland government has announce changes to its rules surrounding fully vaccinated close contacts.

Close contacts formerly had to quarantine 14 days but that time is now halved for those who are fully vaccinated.

Deputy Premier Steven Miles spoke to a media conference on Tuesday on the issue.

It comes as the state recoded 86 new cases of COVID-19.
