Critical injuries in Qld beach plane crash

A light plane carrying two people has crashed on a beach north of Mackay in regional Queensland leaving one with critical injuries.

Paramedics are on the scene and a rescue helicopter was dispatched following the crash just after 8am at Ball Bay, about 50 kilometres north of Mackay.
