More than 50 per cent of UK NHS staff off sick with COVID-19

The number of NHS staff in England off work because of COVID-19 has risen by more than 50 per cent.

More than 18,800 staff were sick or self-isolating in a week, an increase of more than 6,000 in the past seven days.
