Scott Morrison and Anthony Albanese share New Year’s messages

The nation's leaders have shared messages of togetherness and renewal in their New Year videos to Australians.

Scott Morrison and Anthony Albanese are united in their hope the worst of the COVID pandemic is behind us.

“Happy New Year Australia, despite the tough times we’ve been through these few years, we can always be thankful in Australia that we live in what we know is the best country in the world,” Mr Morrison said.

The Opposition Leader said in his video, “let’s hope” 2022 brings health and happiness to all Australians.

“2021 has been a really tough year, where people have been isolated, often for long periods of time,” he said.

“So, let’s hope 2022 brings health and happiness for all and a much easier time; have a happy New Year.”
