WA records one new COVID-19 case in vaccinated hotel quarantine security guard

A security guard at a Perth quarantine hotel has become Western Australia’s latest local case of COVID-19.

The man, who is vaccinated, returned a positive result after a routine swab and is now in hotel quarantine.

Genomic sequencing is underway to determine what variant the man has.
