QLD has 6781 COVID-19 cases in record surge as state deals with 32,300 active patients

Queensland has marked another record number of new COVID-19 cases, with an increase of more than 1000 infections from the previous day.

There were 6781 cases reported on Wednesday, across almost 30,000 tests in the 24-hour period to 7pm on Tuesday.
