Victorians forced to report RAT results to authorities

Victoria has introduced changes to how positive COVID numbers will be recorded - incorporating rapid antigen test results into the daily figures.

People who have a positive rapid antigen test will be considered as 'probable' cases and will be subject to the same requirements as people who have had a confirmed PCR diagnosis. 

These individuals must report their result to the Victorian Department of Health by phone or via an online form.

The state reported 21,997 new COVID cases in the past 24 hours, with this being Victoria's highest recorded caseload since the beginning of the pandemic.
