NSW COVID update: 21 deaths, more than 34,000 cases from PCR testing

New South Wales has set a new record for its deadliest day of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the 24 hours to 8pm on Tuesday, the state recorded another 34,759 cases from 134,411 PCR tests, meaning one in four people tested returned a positive result, and 21 further deaths.
