Giant osprey nest rescued from dangerous treetop perch

The nest sat atop a 30m high hoop pine which was struck by lightning in the Currumbin Valley about 18 months ago.At the time, the nest tumbled out of the tree but the osprey rebuilt it at the top of the dead hoop pine.However, the tree was assessed by an arborist as being structurally unsound…
