‘We are raising the alarm’: WA to introduce mask mandate

Western Australia has introduced a mask mandate from 6pm Sunday evening, in an attempt to fight COVID-19 on “several fronts”.

The mandate will apply to all public indoor venues in the Perth and Peel regions.

Premier Mark McGowan said the state was “raising the alarm” in response to two new local cases of COVID-19 recorded on Sunday.
