Australia records 58 COVID-19 deaths

A record 58 deaths have been reported from COVID-19 in NSW and Victoria, the highest daily toll of the pandemic for Australia.

NSW reported 36 deaths, a daily record for the state, and Victoria 22, making the toll higher than the 57 deaths reported on 14 January.
