Big Red Bash loses $3 million insurance claim over COVID-19 cancellation

Organisers of the Big Red Bash festival have lost a multi-million dollar court battle with insurers after COVID-19 concerns led to the event’s closure.

Around 10,000 people were expected to converge on the outback Queensland town of Birdsville for the festival in 2020.
