Bomb scare: Streets shutdown after a homemade device explodes in Leederville

A homemade bomb was detonated near two busy restaurants in Leederville Thursday, with a second bomb scare shutting down parts of the city hours later.

Emergency services were called to an area between two restaurants along Newcastle Street about 1.30pm Thursday, after a homemade bomb exploded.
