Allegations of integrity commission raid ‘expected from Russia not Queensland’

Queensland Opposition Leader David Crisafulli said if the allegations the integrity commissioner’s office was raided are true, it is something expected from Russia, not the Sunshine State. Mr Crisafulli said the raid was conducted by Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk’s public service commission, with laptops seized and files deleted. “What happened to the integrity commissioner is a disgrace,” he told Sky News Australia. Mr Crisafulli said people come to Australia because “they want a different life and a better life” for themselves. “This is the sort of behaviour we’d expect to see in other nations like Russia, not in Australia, not in our Queensland,” he said. “If the premier values integrity, she’ll release the contents of that laptop; if the premier values integrity, she will ensure the CCC is reformed, restructured and that it is beyond reproach.”
