Latest Newspoll figures will ‘have a number of people nervous’

Former NSW Liberal Party leader Kerry Chikarovski says the latest Newspoll, which reveals a slump in Coalition support, will "have a number of people nervous". The Coalition’s primary vote fell by two points to 34 per cent, according to the latest Newspoll figures published in The Australian. "If you were a marginal seat holder in the Coalition government, you'd be looking at those figures with some concern – a great deal of concern," Ms Chikarovski told Sky News Australia. "But even if you were a seat where the margins aren't so small but maybe you're being challenged by an independent, you'd be a little bit concerned about those figures as well."
