Emergency response as huge blaze takes hold of Sydney home

Emergency services are responding to a large house fire in a residential area in western Sydney.

Fire crews are at the “well alight” home on Murray St in Merrylands, Fire and Rescue NSW said.

“Large volumes of smoke are visible en route,” it said.
