Man drowns after jumping into water at Rye pier in Mornington Peninsula

A man has drowned off the Mornington Peninsula.

The man, whose yet to be identified, went into the water at the beach at the pier in Rye about 2.45pm on Saturday.

It’s understood he got into trouble and disappeared in the water, sparking a search.
