A woman has died in a house fire in Melbourne’s east after leaving wet clothes to dry in front of a heater.
Emergency services arrived at the house in Weigela Court at Forrest Hill around 7.40pm on 13 November after reports of a fire.
The fire was under control in around 17 minutes.
In a statement, Fire Rescue Victoria said the fire is believed to have started from clothing being dried in front of a heater which ignited.
The elderly woman is yet to be formally identified.
