A magnitude 6.6 earthquake has struck off the coast of Kokopo, Papua New Guinea, according to GeoScience Australia.
The epicentre of Friday’s quake was at a depth of 66km.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties
Indonesia’s geophysics agency also ruled out a potential tsunami.
