Cottesloe bronze whaler shark shot with speargun in ‘unauthorised act’ after beach closed

Authorities are investigating after a bronze whaler discovered inside Cottesloe’s shark barrier was shot with a speargun.

Lifeguards had closed the popular Perth beach and evacuated swimmers after the 1.5m shark was spotted about 7.27am on Wednesday.
