King Charles and Queen Camilla made a surprise visit to Northern Ireland on Wednesday, where they drank whiskey and visited the heart of Belfast city centre.
The trip was only announced by Buckingham Palace today, with engagements kept under a strict embargo. Several streets in the area were closed amid a heavy police presence ahead of the royal visit. Charles and Camilla last visited Belfast in 2023, following the Coronation in May, when they visited Armagh and Fermanagh.
