Pilot killed as plane crashes on outback airstrip at White Cliffs in northwest NSW

A man has died in a plane crash in northwest NSW on Tuesday morning.

He was the pilot and sole occupant of the plane which crashed at an airstrip at White Cliffs, an outback opal mining town about 260km northeast of Broken Hill, about 7.15am.
