Flood warnings in effect after Sydney, NSW smashed by days of heavy rain

NSW residents are likely to get a reprieve this week from the wild weather that blasted through the state on the long weekend.

The small town of Mandalong scored a huge 154mm in the 24 hours to 9am on Monday, followed by nearby Lake Macquarie with 135mm and Windale on 139mm.
