UNESCO’s newly-designated World Heritage Sites have us reaching for our passports once again

We’re big advocates of a fly-and-flop, leisurely afternoons spent soaking up the sun’s rays before seafront suppers under the stars. However, longer escapes can result in itchy feet among the more intrepid among us, with curious minds wandering below cloud cover about what cultural gems lie nearby.

A great place to start is UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites, a coveted list of more than 1,000 places that the World Heritage Committee considers as having “outstanding universal value”.
