What is your first memory of London?

I came here for the first time in 1978 with my mother, Moki, on the way to New York. Freddie Laker was probably the first budget airline to fly to the US from Gatwick, so that’s why we came and stayed for a few days with friends in Elephant and Castle on a housing estate. They took us all around the city to see all the tourist attractions; King’s Road, Piccadilly Circus, the Planetarium, even the bloody wax museum, but I think I loved the red…
