After a summer of record-breaking heat and soaring temperatures, a severe storm is hitting the UK. Storm Floris is expected to sweep across the country from Monday 4 August 2025, bringing heavy rain and winds of up to 90mph.
In Northern Ireland, a yellow weather warning has been announced. Sky News has reported that many outdoor spaces have been closed for safety as a result of the storm, including forests, country parks, walking trails and outdoor campsites, cafés and restaurants.
