Labor tight-lipped as Pacific neighbour warns region ‘already at war with China’

Labor is keeping tight-lipped after one of Australia’s Pacific neighbours warned the region is “already at war” with China.

Palauan President Surangel Whipps, a prominent China hawk, told a conference on Wednesday that Beijing “cannot remain the No. 1 investor in our private sector”.
