Converted e-bikes banned from NSW rail network services

Converted e-bikes will now be banned from being taken on trains in NSW due to the increased risk of lithium-ion battery fires.

From November 1 those who bring a converted e-bike onto any service on the NSW rail network will face a $400 fine with a maximum penalty of $1,110.
