Lighting cable crashes down on $105 million causeway bridge

A lighting cable has come crashing down on a $105 million pedestrian bridge, forcing its immediate closure less than a year after opening.

The incident occurred around 5pm Monday (8pm AEDT) on the state-of-the-art Boorloo Bridge in Perth, which only opened in December last year to much fanfare.
